The Oribitus System was discovered at an unknown date by the humans of [[origin|Origin]]. At some point, a majority of Origin's population was sent on space vessels to the Oribitus System. Within these vessels, humans were preserved using technology currently unknown to the Oribitus Federation. This form of preservation, or some external, unknown factor caused the humans to mutate. Most simply died, though a select few became the humans that currently inhabit the Oribitus System.
